Energy efficiency: the LED relamping project in Gessate
Energy efficiency in the tube department: the LED relamping project
At CPC Inox, energy efficiency is not just a stated goal, but a path built on concrete actions, department after department. The latest step concerns the tube department, where we have completed the replacement of fluorescent lighting with LED technology.
A path completed in all departments
The tube department was the last one still to be completed: with this intervention, the entire plant is now lit with LED technology. The installation took about a month and a half of work, between mid-February and the end of March.
Why LED
The goal was simple but concrete: to replace fluorescent lamps with LED solutions capable of guaranteeing the same lighting quality while significantly reducing energy consumption. A more efficient, longer-lasting technology with a reduced environmental impact.
The numbers behind the savings
The benefit translates into a reduction in annual energy consumption of 107 MWh, with a direct impact in terms of emissions as well: 41.8 tonnes of CO2 equivalent saved every year.
A project that fits within our ESG journey
Interventions like this represent a piece of our commitment to environmental sustainability: small and large steps that, together, contribute to reducing CPC Inox’s energy footprint over time.
