Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program

The sustainability we like

The concrete commitment to environmental and social sustainability of Lindt, the world-famous company for its delicious chocolate, is reflected in the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program. The goal is clear: to actively contribute to the improvement of local conditions for all chocolate farmers.

A commitment of great value, which allows to track the entire procurement process and to support the farmers and their communities. As of 2020, in fact, all of the company’s cocoa beans are tracked by an external third party, ensuring maximum transparency.

More than 80,000 farmers are now part of the Lindt & Sprüngli Farming Program.

The project has four pillars:

  1. Traceability and organization of farmers
  2. Training and knowledge transfer
  3. Farmer investment and community development
  4. Verification and continuous progress

At this link you can read testimonials from farmers involved in the program.

The medium-term goal is to source all cocoa products (beans, butter, powder) through sustainability programs by 2025.

We are really happy to discover and tell every month stories of companies that are concretely committed to making the future better for the environment and society.

Our congratulations to Lindt!
