LIFE IN PRODUCTION: DON’T CALL IT AN ASSEMBLY LINE
Multi-functionality, i.e. the ability of many workers to be able to work on different machines within production, is a trump card for CPC Inox, both to ensure quality, rapidity, and punctuality in the processing of orders, and because it allows to create a dynamic and never boring environment for those who work there.
Introduced as a company practice many years ago, more than twenty, the multi-functionality of the machine operators stems in fact from the need to never have the plants at a standstill and over the years it has been consolidated as a daily practice in production life. A commitment strongly desired by the company, which every day makes available the time and experience of its foremen to teach new processes to the youngest. A winning approach in many respects, which actually improves the days of its employees, offering them new experiences, and the service to customers, who can count on uninterrupted production.

An important stimulus for workers, which contrasts with the idea of the ‘assembly line’ where many hours are spent repeating the exact same job. A practice that sheds new light on industrial production, which thus becomes a stimulating profession where one can grow and make a career, discover different machines, functions and processes that bring real added value to the worker by enriching his experience.
This dynamism also fosters fellowship between colleagues, who put their experience and skills at each other’s service, thus creating important moments of sharing.
“Many of our workers can manage up to three different plants. The desire to learn new things, get involved and a natural predisposition to teamwork are essential components for experiencing multi-functionality, building a career and above all never getting bored. Hardly anyone who joins CPC Inox in one position ends his career in the same place!” concludes Oliveto.
